Green Acre Hot Springs in Truth or Consequences, NM is offering papercrete
plastering lessons this week. A 12' in diameter dome used for battery
storage needs a plaster coat. The dome is made from ferrocement and
papercrete will be covered with 1/4" of papercrete both inside and
outside. This is a excellent opportunity for someone who is intersted in
learning more about state approved papercrete structures, ferrocement,
domes, natural paint making, and PV power.
Hands on activities will include the following topics:
- making papercrete
- making prickly pear paint
- mixing water resistant papercrete stucco's
- spraying papercrete
- trowling papercrete for slick finishes
Dates: Tue. Jan. 29th - Friday Feb 1st. 2008
Time: 10am - 4pm
Cost: $50 (per student, per day)
