you said: because it ties you down to one spot, have you
considered an air card for your puter so it is
as mobile as you are?
SILLY RABBITS. IT IS THE BOOKS THAT TIE ME DOWN. : >
Imagine six 7' 10" tall bookcases Filled, plus assorted smaller book
cases, a room full of packing materials, tables, and work stations, 3
honking big printers, metal file cabinets, computers, papercutters,
bindery machine, reams of paper, stacks of CDs, boxes of tape and pens,
envelopes cards, recycled shipping materials... just like a regular
bricks& mortar store-- MORE in fact since they don't have to ship much
[this doesn't count the boxes of AOL CDs I used as sample plaster and
rub-r-slate disks to send the curious, etc etc]
I can travel all I want but must be back home to ship priority mail
customers orders with in 2 days and no way to take 3,000++ books in the
car, plus biz paraphenalia with me ....see?
If the evil Amazon does their job they will be shipping FOR me-- so I
am free to travel and work on my cottage.
the way the technology is going movies, DVDs of all kinds will be on
demand downloadable to your ipod, cell phone, fingernail TV, etc.. see
the Kindle book machine yet? the world's changing... thankfully a hardy
bunch still want to read a real book... and hold it in their hands.
