The shrinkage of the blockw with holes in them has always been the issue. On the Living in Paper site they are supposed to have developed a machine to press the PC.
Another issue would be the volume loss by compression. From my limited experience doing compressed PC it is 50-60% depending on how much I process my material. Plus I am using a steel hand tamper so Idont even come close to what you could get with a hydraulic press.
