I can understand that. Most of the noise I hear about PC blocks is how
lightweight they are. It took a lot of digging around the internet but
I finally found the dimensions for earth bricks for Nubian Vaults:
26mm x 16mm x 5mm (about 10in x 6in x 2in rounded off.) I estimate
10,368 bricks to make a vault the size of my hoop house, assuming a
Nubian vault can span 20 feet wide... I haven't found specs on the
maximum width of a Nubian vault...

A 10 foot dome would be way too small, Ten of those would fit inside
my hoophouse alone. ;o)

Not being familiar with a hemispherical dome, I did a quick search and
found this page:
http://www.earth-auroville.com/index.php?nav=menu&pg=training&id1=10
and based on the information there I would have to say that a
hemispherical dome and a Nubian Vault are two entirely different
beasts. With the hemispherical domes illustrated on that page, the
courses of bricks are all laid on the horizontal. With a Nubian vault,
the bircks are laid at a 70 degree angle to the horizontal, resulting
in an arch that requires no bracing during construction (wild!).

That temp differential is what I'm hoping to achieve for my rabbits as well.
