[papercreters] Re: Mold



You know thinking about it, we on city water supply may have an advantage over well or lake water, due to the CLORENE in our water, I also believe bleach is CLORENE BLEACH. Maybe city water is better than I thought to make PC from. Just food for thought.

I think the chlorine would evaporate fairly quickly after damaging your
 paper fibers, and be ineffective against mold. Soak a piece of paper in
 bleach overnight and see what happens. Borates work well, like boric acid or
 borax laundry additive (Three Elephants, Twenty Mule Team, etc.), and are
 not expensive.
