Thanks, no lead here, we built the place in 1982 and only used stain. I believe that was post lead era.

We have a rental house here in rural northern California which hasn't been painted in about 10 years because our renter is extremely sensitive to chemicals. The exterior is plywood with old oil-based stain on it, but it's very weathered now and the wood is parched and starting to deteriorate some places. I really feel we need to paint it this year.
