Re: [papercreters] Re: Permission from Mods (Not a money making venture, but educational)

Here, here, spaceman and Calle, you have been a great member of this group and I do hope this all will blow over and you will see to posting again. Even though spaceman is not the leader he is very much on top of things, always have been. And I want to thank you, spaceman, for your "non-leadership" :) This is a very good list with people that have a lot of experience and the willingness to share with the rest of us.

OK, first off - I'm not the leader, I'm just one of the janitors around here. The list owner, Slurry Guy or Jay Hawk, has been MIA for a couple of years. I still haven't heard from the other moderators, and meanwhile there has been more discussion than would probably have happened if the information had just been posted. I believe a short note explaining the opportunity and with his contact information might be of interest to at least some group members. Our group policy includes things like "electrical, plumbing, HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning), roofing, windows, and other aspects of construction are all important factors open to discussion. " and solar/wind power would fall under that. It's not like this is a commercial venture trying to scam money, it is something that Calle wanted to share with the group, that some members may be interested in. I make similar offers from time to time - I always have openings for apprentices who would like to trade work for education. Way back when, I discussed this with the group founder and he had no objection to such posts - rather welcomed them as an opportunity for group members.

It is regretful that this whole discussion even happened. I'm sure Calle would approach this off list next time, rather than expose herself. You gotta give her credit for trying to make sure. This list has been really slow lately and when people get bored they will grab anything.

As far as this list not being "private", nothing you do online is private. Google has bots (and many others do) that crawl the internet constantly and sift through all the data. All communications are filtered and processed. If you want privacy then give away your computer and put your cell phone in a grounded metal box.

Beyond that, this group is echoed to another website purposely so that there is another copy for when Yahoo pulls the rug out from under us. It is backup of the information that has been given to this group. We are also tied to a youtube group dedicated to papercrete.

Brian, I don't have his email.

I take great offence at your inference that this is spam.

I am a professional woman that is honorable and would never spam anyone.

It was merely a way to help others experience a new adventure.

Many have contacted me.

I am so busy and did not post as others have done.

I requested permission.

Interesting to see all of those who do not post,  but when I made a request, come out of the papercrete background.

Can't remember how long I have been a member, this usually is the quieter of all the groups I belong to.

I don't post often as many of us found out that it all goes out on Google, this list is not private.

Strange that this is the only group that had objected.

Never meant to offend anyone Spaceman.

I will not post here even if given permission.

Maybe your inquiry would be better off list with the owner?  You seem to be going about gaining permission to spam in a strange around about way.

Try papercreters-owner@yahoogroups.com
