Re: [papercreters] Re: 200 blocks in and frustrated.

I got it at Harbor Freight ten years ago, and they don't make the same one any more. That's a good thing, IMHO. I'd rather have my $350 back and get a good pump like a friend has. Mine has 2" plumbing and pumps water or really clean pc well. Though mine was rated as full trash and passing 1.5" particles, the vanes in the impeller only have a 3/4" intake opening so the specs were bs. You want a real 4" trash rated pump, with an impeller with only two blades, that will pass a 2" rock with no problem. You can find them on ebay for a grand or so.

Mine clogs constantly and I have to break it down and clean it every time something foreign gets into the pc, like even an envelope window. That's a 15 minute job that doesn't seem so bad the first time, but starts to really suck about the fifth time you've done it in a morning. That's why I have ended up doing so much pc with buckets and wheelbarrows over the years.

papercrete is really sweet
but it's not good to eat!

Do you have a link to the pump you use? I am heading in that direction. I did my footings with Tires, 5 tires deep. (2 1/2 underground) They are not extremly lvl at this point and am planing on slip forming the first layer next month after I am done with the slab set inside the tires. I have been making the bricks as a keep me busy while I save for slab. Rusty ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
