[papercreters] RE: Exterior Paint for environmentally sensitive people

Hi,

I thought I would forward a professional response from Originate Natural
Building Materials below to Robert's question about exterior finishes.

Also, American Clay has a new lime, paper and crushed glass exterior
plaster that Mason Greenstar has been using on papercrete. I coated a
block with it that has been outside since I did their workshop in January.

Thanks,

Vince

P.S. I haven't been following many threads as I get the digest version
and too many people are just clicking reply without snipping their
responses, so the re-re-repeated garbage is indecipherable. If you want
more people to participate in this list, please cut the waste text, like
I did above. It also saves electrons!

> Technically Lime Paint is a natural paint that few people have issues with chemically. Saying that I don't feel it would work in your instance as Lime has to chemically bond to the surface it is being applied to. Since your wood has been treated previously it wouldn't be pourous enough. Secondly, usually lime is applied over raw stucco, not wood.
