[papercreters] blue paper towels

I started a full face mask tonight with wallpaper paste and used blue shop paper towels. (Used to clean the car windows.) FABULOUS behavior!! The mask will be the Stone Guest with the face built like a castle wall. I figure to use little chunks of styro to build up the stonework maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, then PM over it with second sheet typing paper. That's nearly tracing paper, very thin so you could make  a dozen carbon copies when typing a letter, if you hit the keys good and hard, way before electrics. Now that's OLD!!  I have a box of the stuff but I so seldom need tracing paper, it was going to take me a century I don't have left to use it up. But it is GREAT pm strip paper for finer top surfacing.

I love the way PM has taught me to keep so many types of paper. I use glossy and/or cardstock mail ads to wad for basic foundation bulk. The newsprint type advertising paper goes into strips. Then there are the two types I've already mentioned and used copier/typing paper. Since I am a writer, I have LOTS of the latter! I've almost used up the bag of celuclay I bought years ago, so my next stage is to master pulping...so I'm saving all those straight edges I tear off the paper towels and typing papers. Oooh, I'm soooo efficient. I'm even saving all my dryer lint. Between making my own cold porcelain and PM, buying clay of any sort seems to be a thing of the past. Can't tell you how much this appeals to me.
