I bought a RV park which had a 1968 mobile home on it. I papercreted
the west wall of the mobile with 15" thick block to reduce the
extreme heat of the setting sun. My trailer has made it into several
videos and even a cnet story on prefab housing. It actually trumped
the $300k prefabs. You really can't beat the $10 a square foot after
remodeling of a older trailer. It is a better solution than sending
the old trailers to the dump.

The reality about alternative building is that you will be living in
a trailer for a few years. You might as well make it comfortable.
