The Papercrete Building Code team is looking for more help with our project.

 

Do you want to see papercrete be a practical material for anyone to use for themselves?  Do you want one of the big mega-corporations to decide what the rules will be once they see the potential to make more money by controlling how it gets used and squeeze out the little guy?

 

Please volunteer to make a difference.

 

Following is just one opportunity where someone can help.  If you like playing around with Instant Messaging, this may be the perfect opportunity for you to contribute.

 

 

Chat Coordinator

This volunteer will be responsible for scheduling and hosting our weekly Code Team live internet chats.  Each week this person will make sure that everyone that wants to attend a chat is properly informed and included.  They will act as host on the day of the chat.  They will keep track of an agenda that is expected for each weekly chat, and post regular reminders to the group and keep Code Team members and all members of Papercreters advised about the general topic we plan to be discussing each week.  This person will also be responsible for saving the log of each chat so that it can be posted to our Building Codes site for anyone to read.  Experience in using Yahoo Messenger is helpful but not absolutely required.  It's primarily important that this person be reliable and willing to dedicate time every Saturday to this.  Detailed knowledge about building codes is not required.  All we need is someone with a little enthusiasm about the project and wants to make a reliable contribution of 3-4 hrs/week for the next year or so.
