[papercreters] Sun Ray Kelly website- about organic structures

Many of you may know of builder "Sun Ray Chi" - as he goes by... he
cheerfully runs around naked a lot, & his Buddha house was featured
on HGTV- ( but they showed him naked from the waist up only ( ; > )

Along with his kids and friends, and students from his School of
Natural Living, SunRay has over the last 30 years created a small
community of fantastic homes on his property in northwestern Washington
state. Starting in the 1970s with the pyramid-shaped Earth House, it
was eventually followed by the Garden House, Sky House, the sculpted
cob Yogurt, and other whimsical creations that grew up from the site
using almost exclusively local materials.

I love the stone encrusted bathroom. shown in that house ( click thru
the site on projects- Buddha house) and also the Garden House is
amazing in it's use of no linear or straight lines

.. but check out his other uses of logs and bent wood, he had also
built with HUGE multi-ton bales that are drum shaped... he attended
and amused us at natural building events on the west coast, and is a
real creative person, a friend made him this website, and I am glad to
have one place that exhibits many pics of his wild and crazy buildings

even if you ( collectively: any of you) never build as he does you can
find something energetic and fun in his approach for bringing your
own ideas to fruition

"I practice or try to practice Organic Architecture.  What Organic
Architecture means to me is a state of reverence for Nature, an ability
to look around at your surroundings and ask yourself the question "How
do I live in harmony with my surroundings?"
