Well, it's green, hollow, and has long thin leaves : )
Don't know the variety - it grows about ten feet tall in a summer, maybe 1" in diameter on the larger ones, makes a white feathery tuft at the top this time of year. Very similar to what is called "cane" in the deep south, used for fishing poles.
What I used was mostly dried leaves, with a few culms mixed in, less than 1/2" in diameter.

__._,_.___Greetings, Which bamboo please? Did you use the culms or just the stalks on the leaves? I am planting a bunch of different bamboos this year, a real education, but fun. Bright Blessings, Kim Spaceman wrote:I just recently mixed a load with bamboo leaves and stalks. The no-tow behind mixer handled it pretty well, but didn't make it as small as I would like, leaving fibers several inches long in the final product. It looks like the pc will be good and strong when it dries. It is in a 4x4x1 block that will take a while to dry.
