RE: [papercreters] Re: Spacesman's version of McCain Scissor mixer & Foam Grinder

I guess one of the good things about a tow mixer is that most low level thieves looking to make a quick buck wouldn't want one and probably wouldn't have a clue as to what is was or what is would be used for. Whenever I leave here for any extended period of time, which isn't often, I have to put tools or anything else that could be turned over for a quick buck into my big trailer and store it. That is definitely a pain in the posterior as setting up solar panels when it is 115 degrees is not fun. Neither is taking them down but unfortunately that's my reality. When my snowbird neighbors return, usually by mid October, I can leave without concern for my stuff.................... or my reproductive parts.................... :o)

Perhaps women are not as territorial about their reproductive parts as men (having been forced to share them for so many eons) but we do resent it when someone messes with our tools. My grandfather's tools were stolen too, out of a locked storage closet on a jobsite. And my tools were stolen for my shed at my building site.  Those tools were my big investment when I started my project and I have not been able to replace most of them. Some were still in their original cases not having been opened yet. It's sad when people have no compunction about taking from those who are obviously struggling to get by in life.
I am thankful that papercrete is so low tech that it is possible to have a decent outcome even without power tools.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. I have many excellent tools that belonged to each of my grandfathers. It's painful to even think about those tools getting stolen.

Of course tool theft is painful for women too, but my attempt at a humorous metaphor only made sense as gender specific to the male reproductive parts.

I'll leave it up to you, Kim, to make the funny reference to tools and women's reproductive parts. My male instinct tells me that it would be dangerous for me to attempt making jokes comparing tools to female cramps and PMS.
