[papercreters] SCRAP GYPSUM- water repellant in PC

John- yes I have taken hunks of drywall scrap, [and also you can get
ground up drywall scrap] for soil amendment, here in my area. When
you add the gyp it does nothing but add filler to the mix-- it is
inert- it will not help bind, or strengthen, and if too much paper
bits are in it you can get a mold going if left wet and sitting about.

Just gyp scrap, and water, add clay & some fiber to make a lovely
PLASTER, that can be used OVER the PC walls. very fine texture as
the gyp is filling the voids. I see no problem experiemtning with
it, and let us know how it goes. I am not sure how well drywall scrap
will fall apart with liner paper on it just soaking in plain water,
try HOT water too, and see if it falls apart faster. also add dish
soap and see if that helps,

I have gotten free tiles and marble, which was glued to drywall- and
I leave it sitting with drywall face up in the rain outside, and it
starts to mold before it is wet enough to scrape off. but time is
your friend..start now, and see how it goes.

WATER repellent for PC.

Denise since you want a light weight roof try getting a big billboard
tarp, they are 14' x 40' or 14x 30 often, and they are so strong
they last for years outside in the weather, if that were laid over top
the PC insulated roof youd have light and strong and water proof.

I have gotten several of these from a business that takes them down
after the ads are done, and they are scarce now but you might try
looking for them. I have seen one used as a roof cover over a
double wide mobile- it lasted for several years. and they have built
in edge pockets where 2x4 boards are slipped in, then the wood is
screwd to the wall/sidewall to keep it taut.

Or think of those light weight metal roof panels, fiberglass panels
for grenhouses, anything like that which can go over top the PC.
