[papercreters] Re: Howto Paint Papercrete with Cactus Juice and Lime

Using prickly pear is such a great idea.

It's so cool that you take advantage of more than just the local
cactus, but you also take advantage of the tools you already had. The
papercrete mixer, buckets, and drill mixer all were already on hand for
making papercrete, plaster, and other stuff. It seems that the
only "special" tools were the strainers, and they were built from
leftover scraps.

Do you have a sample of that exact same paint left over? Can you paint
some on 2 scraps of wood or something?

I'd be interested to see one scrap get left out in the weather, while
the other scrap is kept inside. It would be interesting to see how the
two samples hold up over time. Will they fade? Flake? Anything like
that?

Don't get me wrong. I'm positive that your prickly paint is great
stuff. I'm just curious about how great. It will be interesting to
see how it performs over time. How often will you have to reapply? If
it is demonstrated that it can last anywhere close to a commercial
paint then the awesomeness will be complete!

Oh yeah. I like the closing music too. Makes me think I need to go
cruising in a 1950's Chevy with tail fins. (Did they make any of those
diesel so that it could be veggie oil powered?) hehehe

Keep it up Mikey and Wendy
