[papercreters] Wanted: Volunteer Project Manager for Papercrete Building Code Project

Project Manager

This volunteer will be responsible for keeping track of all the tasks that we need to complete in order to get papercrete adopted into the International Building Code.  They will document and track these tasks and keep track of which ones must be completed before others can be started.  As we establish schedules to complete tasks, this volunteer will help us stay on top of those schedules.  They will work closely with other Code Team members to find volunteers to complete each task and track their progress.  The Project Manager will be responsible for keeping the master copy of our Gantt Chart which will show our detailed progress on various tasks.  This chart will be constantly improved and updated by the Project Manager and published on our Papercreters Building Codes site.  We will be using a free Open Source software, Gantt Project, to track all of this information.  It is very similar in many ways to Microsoft Project.  Experience in using project management software will be helpful but not absolutely necessary.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn how this software works in an environment where several people are willing to help you learn.  We will help train you as necessary.  A detailed oriented person would be best.  This will be a key member of our Papercrete Building Code Team.  Be prepared to invest an average of about 4 hours/week for a year or more.  It will be important for this volunteer to be able to attend most of our weekly Saturday chats.
