Re: [papercreters] Fibrous Cement - some photos

Hi Mike,

Rather than using Portland - I used bagged stucco mix in about the same mix proportions as you would make papercrete with Portland (about one bag of Portland per yard of total material). What you see there is strictly papercrete - no paint, sealers or stucco (other than the stucco in the mix). I mixed the paper and water in the mixer and mixed smaller batches in 5 gallon buckets for application - in this way I could keep a batch of paper slurry for a couple of days and the smaller 5 gallon batches were easier to control the formulation. One of the buildings shown was about 4 years old when I took the photos - aside from some initial cracking the material is holding up VERY well.
