Re: [papercreters] Papercreters Expands to Blogspot

Hello. I know I have very few posts on papercreters (two I think), but I have a proposal for you, I could setup maintain a real forum for you guys, under a real domain name for free. It would be advertisment free and whoever are the moderators on the the yahoo site would be moderators on the forum (I'm not trying to boot myself into "power" or anything of that sort). I know it may sound suspicious of me to offer to do all this for free but I would like to be able to put that it as a reference on a resume. It could all be setup in a matter of days which would include all the graphics, member "ranks" and titles, moderators setup, ect. It would give the ability to not only make it easier for people to view and post (you have to admit that the yahoo sites are somewhat annoying to navigate and read posts) as well as the ability to break the forum down into groups of specific applications, such as have one deaticated to mixes and recipees, drying proceedures and so on, and have on for peoples current projects, and one for ideas and testing and so fort. I know getting users to switch from one site to another sometimes is hard, but the registration proceedure would be minimal, less then thirty seconds. The forum also uses an active spam protection and protection against automated registering. I think it would be a great step in furthering the progress of papercrete. Please let me know something.

Where will it end? We keep getting bigger and better all the time.

Papercreters now has a read only mirror on Blogspot.

It took a while to get all the bugs worked out, but now our messages
appear there as well.

YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CHANGE ANYTHING.

If you enjoy your Papercreters messages the way they are right now,
great! That hasn't changed. If you want to read the messages off
the Blogspot site, feel free to do so, they are there for everyone.

This is yet one more way we're getting the word out so that people
interested in papercrete can find us. All of these efforts are
working too. We have 596 members in just under 6 months as I type
this message.

We now have:
Our Primary Yahoo site where anyone can join for free and be able to
post messages, pictures, links, and files.
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/papercreters/

Our read only Google Mirror, where anyone can read messages, but will
have to join the Yahoo site to post messages:
http://groups.google.com/group/Papercreters

Our YouTube group for papercrete related videos:
http://www.youtube.com/group/papercreters

The above mentioned read only Blogspot site:
http://papercreters.blogspot.com/

Our Papercrete recipe and testing database is still under development
(thanks Nori)
http://www.papercreters.net/

None of these sites mean anything without the people that join and
share their knowledge and experience. Thanks gang! YOU ARE
PAPERCRETERS.

What will happen next? Stay tuned. It keeps getting better.
