Greetings,
Years ago, Mike McCain, an early pioneer in the papercrete world, came
up with fidobe, as he called it. [The tow mixer is one of Mike's
creations.] There is no need for cement, just heavy clay. It holds
paint well, and is great to work with, if you have the right kind of
clay. I do, and I have used it. I have done tests with it, leaving
blocks out in mudpit season, with no protection. They did not totally
melt away as expected, but the top coats did, then they sat there. It
is a fabulous material to work with, and can be ever cheaper than
papercrete. Also, you can come in under the adobe code and build with it.

There should be information in the salvaged archives from the old list,
that I posted on the topic about a decade ago.
