1 1/2 to 2 pounds of paper
4-6 ounces of portland cement
2-3 ounces of borax
sand (if you want it) up to the weight of the paper
bucket full of water
Shred or presoak your paper (or both). Put the dry ingredients into 1/2 bucket of water and start mixing. The paper will absorb water, so add water as you mix. Don't worry about too much water, there is no such thing with papercrete, it'll just drain away. The smoother your mix, the stronger your pc.
Experiment with the proportions, and be sure to let us know about your results. When you hit on an exact recipe you like, be sure to put it in the database at http://papercreters.net/ along with any comments and test results.
Most of all, it's important to have fun!
