[papercreters] Re: Reinforcing - was - tiltup

I've been thinking about this ever sence I started playing with
papercrete, but really I've about come to the conclusion that you
would have to mix so so many other things with it that it would no
longer be papercrete and that it would no longer be cost effiecient.
the problem with using rebar (even if it did stick to it) is that the
papercrete itself is not strong at all, so any spaces between the
rebar you could pretty much just punch your hand through with no
prolbems, the rebar would only strengthen whats immediatly above it,
at that point you really have a rebar structure with a
cosmetic/insulating coating of papercrete. Problem with using netting,
natural fiber ropes, bailing wire, etc, is that it adds no real
strength to the final product, it would help keep it together when it
breaks, but thats about it. I had thought about using stressed twine
in the same way that prestressed concrete uses stressed steel cables,
but sence it doesnt really stick to anything, even itself (hence the
last of strength), when pressure was applied to one side, the twine
would just slip.
