/agree

The only way I would consider this for load bearing is if you had
something as the tube that would handle the stress involved. At that
point the cost would probably make it prohibitive. You could go back
to the idea that was mentioned earlier (in a thread by Nori?) of
pouring concrete or ferro-cement down hollow tubes of PC at intervals
to play a load bearing role.
