Hi Judith,
I just discovered your video on you-tube today very nice info. I have
not decided on a mix yet although I do like your addition of the
pumice stone. I imagine perelite would be the same thing right?
Yea the chain link fence was build like everything else at this house
bullet proof. The footings/mowstrips/curbing (call them what you
wish) run the entire length of the lot from front to back 325' approx
every 10' is a 2 1/2" drill casing (pipe) embedded as a post. The
fence is in great shape for being up since the 60s but it is UGLY as %
$#@. In the front of the house I planted honeysuckle to cover it its
almost covered (in one season). The back is another story, I want it
to be more private. I was gonna go with just block, being a mason I
come across lots of mismatched pallets of block for as little as .55
a piece which is cheap but the real cost is in the footing and
tearing up the yard to get the equipment in.
I will keep the board posted on my progress. If I can figure out
which branch of my thread to reply to???

slip form method on a small portion, just be sure which ever way you
do it to keep the papercrete well up off the ground. It soaks up
standing water (does OK with rain that hits it though). What will you
use to mix your slurry? How lucky you are to have land with something
on it to work with. Keep us posted.

> Hi all,I have been intrigued by papercrete for about 2 years now. I
first discovered it when looking for an alternative to standard
masonry for some walls at mu home. I'm a mason by trade but really
like the light weight and form possibilities of the papercrete. Oh
and the money savings as well as what a great use for waste
paper..Right now I am looking at going ahead with really researching
how to build these walls. I have a half ace lot that has a really
nice 12-13" deep x 8" footing all the way down both sides that has
chain link and 2" steel poles about every 10'. I was thinking of
forming papercrete "tilt up" walls or placing forms on either sides
of the existing fencing and pouring them sections at a time. I'm
gonna search the posts and see what I can find, in the mean time. I
would appreciate any comments on this idea. Thanks.
