[papercreters] Slip forms

Is there any disadvantage to creating a key-way at the top of your slip forms to lock in the next pour?

A key-way is a sort of trough commonly used in concrete to lock walls to footings. It is created by pressing a 2x2 into the top of the wet concrete. Just in case anyone isn't familiar with the term.

Thanks,
Dave
