After the first course is cured sufficiently the forms are "slipped" off and sat on top of
the first course and the process is repeated ...
Forest, yes slipforming is been done with papercrete alot, and discussed here. papercrete can be very heavy when wet, and blowouts of walls have occured. easier than cement to clean up however! but has anyone seen the cool "Magdiel" slipform used and promoted by Ken Kern in the 60s-80s?
This is a metal form...looks like a curved 2 wall slipform frame, with some tighteners... to make a round slipform house you basically use a pole in the middle of the house, and a chain to draw the circle.. to make a rounded wall. then you start slipforming using this device... as you go it slips up, clamps down and more soil was packed in lightly.
this device, once seen, can be easily recreated with metal and a bit of machining.
I'll see if I can scan a drawing of one and upload it
