Re: [papercreters] On demand water heater

Greetings,
I have been living with on demand hot water for 12 years. My first
unit, go water damage during Ike, so it didn't last as long as it should
have. It was a standard unit and we were not particularily happy with
it. It took whatever temperature water it got and uniformly raised it
forty degrees. That means scalding water in the summer, not convenient.

Our new one is the solar back up unit. It costs more, but it has a
thermostat. You set the temperature of water you want, then it gives
you that. It senses the temperature of the water coming in, and adds
what heat is needed, that is all.

Ours is a propane fired unit by Bosch, and it does work well.

Bright Blessings,
