Previous years for our fair we have either used 10x20 canopies, sometimes building wooden walls. Or have built large shed type buildings we could jack up drive a 20 foot flatbed trailer under strap it down and drive it home. Always required buying oversize permits, attaching oversize signs, and flashing warning beacons. Then having to time the drive during least amount of traffic through town.
Now we live about an hour further away from our state fair grounds and would prefer not to have to make multiple trips each way to get everything there, then spend a day or two getting building either put together on site or getting the two halves (that one was 10x40 in two sections) lined up and joined in a way that would not leak but would not be too much trouble to take apart two weeks later to haul it back home.
After all that was done, then we had to scramble to get everything set up inside and get it stocked in time to open for the fair, work it from 8 or 9 am until 11 or 12 pm for twelve days then tear everything back out, tear building down or apart and haul it out in just a couple days after fair was over.
Lots of work involved. But lots of fun as well. We make custom photo tiles and gifts. Have Aurora Borealis tiles (Northern Lights) which glow in the dark plus many other images and you can give us images to put on our items for you. Loads of fun but long hours and lots of people to try and please can sure wear us out. Trying to find a way not to have to work so hard on the building every year too.
I do have some pictures of booths over the years from fair and craft shows if you would like can send them off list. But mainly they are 10x20 canopies we bought at either sam's club or costco.
