I am sure there is some portland in the water, just not alot. It
adheres to the fibers pretty well. As to whether it will do as well
with the fibers, etc in the manure is for you to let us know. =)
The wood shavings should hold portland as well, although I remember
someone saying not nearly as well as sawdust or paper pulp. The smaller
particle size helps alot, since the basic principle is that the
portland coats entirely and is thus the binder for the fibers.
YMMV, but I am definelty interesting in hearing your results.
