Okay, Howard, you got me interested enough to take a second look at
it. =) I will let others make their own decisions, but I had a hard
time finding any industry studies that had anything good to say
about it.

Big problems do not appear to be vermin / insects, but more in the
mold and fire resistance areas. Several case studies and other
research show that the moisture content can be a large problem. And
proper installation (even water disperment and maintaining only the
absolute minimum water necessary) is KEY. And rewetting can cause
leaching of the borates, which leads to high fire susceptibility
give the packed cellulose nature, even higher than that of loose
fill.

Overall, this is something that I might consider having done, but
only by an experienced contractor with good inspections, and in
area's where the possiblility rewetting or condensation was nil. I
would defintely not try to rig a system to blow it.
