Re: [papercreters] Re: Release Agent?

Nothing works.

As in - I have never put any release agent on my molds, and generally remove the molds long before the pc sets, often within ten minutes after filling the mold. For deep forms I let it sit longer because of the blowout pressure, but the forms just come right off without sticking.

The only way I've found to get pc to stick to something is to spray it on.

Polythene is a good release agent. It leaves a good surface on the papercrete. It also slows drying by impeding drainage. Paper works, it just peels off damp papercrete Bitumen does /not/ work.
