[papercreters] Re: New photos

I recall visiting Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon, Canyon DeChelly, and a
few other sites back in the 70's.

Pretty amazing stuff.

As I recall, most of those structures had very strong foundations
that nature provided. When building inside a cliff it's easy to
build on bedrock! It's hard to get a better foundation than that.
Some very intelligent engineering and construction.

Buried in the treasured family archives are a bunch of slides of
those buildings, but I'm not sure where to look for 'em. LOL.

The other thing I remember about that vacation was a really nasty
sunburn. (suprise, surprise!)
