The opposite is actually documented. Compressing papercrete increases the insulative values per inch.
Just so we're all clear . . . the gurus say . . . compressed papercrete is stronger AND more insulative. As a caveat, I do believe the strength quoted was compressive, not tensile.

Let them dry for 10-12 days and see which one you can pull apart with your hands.
