[papercreters] Re: Asphalt emulsion

Ernie, Nick

For some reason I was thinking that a hydrocarbon was a man-made, toxic result from
industry, hence I made the mistake of thinking there weren't any of those in asphalt
emulsion. I looked it up and hydrocarbons are organic compounds composed of hydrogren
and carbon. So yes, asphalt emulsion does contain this organic compound, which according
to science is messing with the environment, but the same can certainly be said of portland
cement, which is the primary additive to true papercrete, and portland certainly has ill health
effects weather in dust form or slurry. I'm pointing this out because Nick said he wouldn't use
AE because it has cancer causing constituents, etc. So for the record regarding cement
manufacture, and cement product health risks, I'm making a new post called "Papercrete
Kills", which strictly speaking is a factual statement based on what's in Portland and what it
takes to make it. Just thought I'd jump on the "Oh my god!" bandwagon of sneering at
anything non-papercrete, and turn it on itself, as portland cement is truly evil stuff. It's
handy, but as the post will show, bad in every human and life form context regarding health.
