[papercreters] Re: Possible Ceramicrete Mold?????

A Quanset Hut shape is not signficiantly different from a Nubian Vault.
(I don't think the chickens could tell the difference.)

No mold required.

And a chicken coop would be an outstanding small scale structure to learn from.

Although... it wouldn't hurt to build a scale model nubian vault chicken coop out of playdough or modeling clay just to make sure you understand how it all works.

I mean seriously... what sane adult doesn't secretly want to use playdough but is afraid of getting laughed at? Well? Now you have an excuse. You're not "playing". You are "testing a scale model."

You can even make your own playdough at home on the cheap.

We had invested in a garbabe pump before considering the quick-setting MgO or ceramicrete, but now fear it will ruin the pump. I hate to think of troweling it on by hand but can't come up with a better solution since we have already invested our money in the garbage pump. I don't think the paint roller would work with the papercrete/ceramicrete mixture for us, would it?

I'm thinking the tarps would make a mold that could later be removed, huh? The tarps are dark charcoal gray, not a good thing for the chickens in the summer heat here. So if they could be removed, so much the better.
