You guys are on the right track. Lets go a step or two further.
Check out this site from our com padres at ferrocement.com.
http://ferrocement.com/bioFiber/y7-r1/biofiber_y7.1.en.html
They have experimental data on making walls and roofs using this latex
modified concrete and biofiber including burlap. I am planning a
greenhouse style arched building with a pvc pipe skeleton and this
burlap method over polystyrene insulation panels. After this thin
waterproof skin is in place I am debating using wire reinforced
papercrete to cover this structure until it is strong enough to
possibly cover it with soil. I get a thermally sound building and a
rounded deck surface or garden space back. I am trying to figure out
how to bond a wavy wire into the skin parallel to the long axis to
hang plant baskets to use the roof surface as garden space. You can
start the plants in the baskets or troughs and hang them out on the
wall when it gets warm enough.
Hit the home button to get back to the main site and cruise around.
These two disciplines compliment each other very well with a little
imagination.
Don't allow engineers idle time.... strange things happen
