I was wondering if you coated bamboo with ferro cement or adobe if it
would last as I the stuff grow wild here and some of it is 30 feet
high and quite thick. Shorter material 3/4" thick is very common.
This winter I am going to plant a couple acres by transplanting the
root systems.
====================
bamboo has a long history in structural use, In Germany there is a
huge palladim center of it, like an area , and in several of the UK
earth building books like Appropriate Building Materials book- they
have chapters on using bamboo in many ways,, You can read this book,
a $33. purchase if imported from the UK,, online for free. it is a
long sorta funky url and sub urls to get to it but well worth it
for a 300 page book that is complete in all aspects of building
naturally.
I can post the links here and view it that way. I put this book on
my CDs as it is so hard to navigate the darn urls, but try.
