Like I said great concept but pc's got to many clog/wear out problems involved in it when using a boat motor as a mixer. But if someone has got around them I'm all for it pass on the word. Ken
++++++++++++ Hi all.. John Stahl is a hemp papermaker He used his skills with paper making, to combine use of a Hammermill [paper beater] and a rubber drum and boat turbin. HE TOOK A RUBBER BARREL, CUT DOWN, ATTACHED A BOTTOM DRAIN, AND WARPED THE ROUND SHAPE TO WORK BETTER FOR SWIRLING THE PAPER FORCEFULLY. A flip of a switch starts the action moving the paper around. A small boat turbine blade is attached to a stem. The stem is bolted to the post and attached to a 1/2 Hp electric motor in this case. The drum is elevated on wood blocks; and the material is gravity drained into a wheel barrow John pushes under the drain hole.
so this has been done, about 8-9 years ago.
I have pics of the drum and blade set up. will attempt to upload to the photos section. -- Ms. Charmaine Taylor/ Taylor Publishing Toll Free Order: 1-888-441-1632 www.dirtcheapbuilder.com www. papercrete.com PO Box 375, Cutten CA 95534
