Yeah, when we were looking for property I had one agent try to sell me an
old caliche pit....and tried to tell me that it wouldn't go under water
every time it rained. Sheesh! You could see where the water came under the
road that ran beside the property and had carved a canyon through the
property to where it spread out mostly flat right in the middle of the
property in a low place. This was during TX 10-year drought that *finally*
broke this year (thankyouLord) so it was bone dry at the time but you could
tell by the mud marks on the rocks that water had been over 3' deep on most
of the property. If a person had built a house there where the RE agent
said you could build it you would have been looking for the house somewhere
in the Gulf this spring when the rains finally came. You're right...it's
amazing what some people try to sell you. Kindof sad, really.
