RE: [papercreters] Re: Papercrete in cold climates

Once I get into the "zone" making blocks I can make a lot in a day. I have been to AK in the summer and know it is hot and the days are long. I would say that if you are going to make blocks start early in the season, make as many as you can and have fun. I wouldn't worry about storing them. I made a bunch of blocks 4 years ago. They have been stacked out in the cold, rain, and snow since then and just seem to get better over time. I would suggest that you build something very small and see how it goes. If I lived in AK I would definitely use papercrete.
And I am not meaning to publicize my blog but I plan to share how I will build a 12 x 16 papercrete building this summer using a block and slip form method that is so far working out very well. I just need to set aside the time to work on the blog.

Welcome to the group .... and your questions are very good and it is encouraging to know more people are discovering the benefits of papercrete.
