Mold will quickly appear in a wet dark environment with poor air circulation. You would not see mold occur in a incomplete structure since you still have lots of ventilation and probably plenty of light. I've never seen mold occur on blocks just left in stacks outside for the same reason. However, when you get to the end of a papercrete structure your chances for mold increase greatly. Best if you can just leave the windows and doors open until the project is complete. 


My feeling is the block mix won't make much difference. Mold will grow on cinderblocks if you leave them in a wet dark basement.
