[papercreters] Re: Greetings from Silver City

Thanks for your hearty welcome,
I have been out of town off and on since I decided to abandon the project.
It was just too hard being here in a small town, not really wanting to talk about it to
anyone, since I don't see it as a negative thing in spite of the associated financial burdens
etc. I am actually feeling much better about everything now and know it was meant to
happen just as it did.
I joined the group mainly to be of service to others that are planning or currently building
so they may perhaps avoid some of the pitfalls I encountered.
I hope some strong standards from the industry will eventually result as to not diminish
the value of the product and further support the reluctance and criticism from traditional
home builders.
Overall, the experience proved to me the insulative qualities and showed me that the
medium is truly flexible and adapdtive to many forms of architecture wnen properly
planned and good materials and building techniques are used. I will continue to be an
enthusiast at least, but unless some miricale occurs don't see myself being involved in
building my own house. Thanks again to all of you for the support and interest in my
house.
Ed
