Do you want to make them to burn, or to look like 'real logs' for display or use in making a paper crete log house?
As a kid I took newspapers, soaked them, rolled them up tight with cotton string, and let them dry. They burned well in our fire place.
I am guessing you could make a mold of a log (to get the right texture) and mold papercrete into the mold (they do this with concrete, but the outcome would be more like paper mache if you are looking for good 'definition'. Still it could be a good set of experiments.
