[papercreters] Re: Papercrete mixtures

Another option to consider that has been working pretty well for me **so far** is to mix pure portland with water and apply that like paint over the finished papercrete. It still absorbs a little water but not nearly as much. If you do decide to paint afterward it will be a lot less expensive since it will not absorb nearly as much paint.

You can also stain drylok and the cost is about the same as paint. According to the company it will still allow water vapor to pass through but not water liquid.

I have not tried it yet, but apparently it is possible to stain whitewash which is also breathable and a lot cheaper than paint.
