Re: [papercreters] Re: Anyone in Oklahoma making Papercrete?

Yes, depending on the pump it makes it fast and easy. My pump tends to clog unless my mix is really smooth. The openings are only .75" in the vanes, so their 1.5" pass through rating was just hype. Avoid window envelopes or anything with plastic or tape, they are sure cloggers. I have a friend whose pump only has 2 vanes and will pass a 2" rock. That's what you need, a real trash pump. I have thought of making some kind of quick release on my pump so I can open the housing to unclog without having to remove ten bolts several times a day. I think a couple of modified welding clamps might do it. The other alternative would be to remove half the vanes, but that's a major modification.

Thanks, for the info. I have some borax and will use it. Has anyone tried to pump slurry using a trash pump into forms? ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
