[papercreters] Jeannes's pulped paper- a miracle

I have just stumbled into free pulverized paper. I picked up about 80lbs the other day and should be able to pick up the same on a regular bases.

Indeed!! -- pulped paper from a mill is an amazing material  for papercrete.
apparently the paper mill stuff is just perfect and ready to mix with water... and make the perfect PC.

Jeanne-
tell us more- who is the maker, can you get it free ongoing as much as you want?   what does your paper look like ( describe)

I got to see a small batch of it from a local architect who got a small load   from our mills.  we had pulp mills, ( now shut down)  and  getting the  paper itself that was too crude to use, or mill to the next stage was going to be avail in truckloads.. oh the joy!!

but getting it to  DIY papercrete makers is an issue unless a large local contingent could use it all, and that is not the case here

for my area even if the pulp were avil. getting it to a DIY builder, who WOULD take a truck load ( they'd want  you to take many  trucks, not just onesy at a time- a bother to them)
was not practical for the mill.

so i thought of finding  an ambitious person who had some space to dump the paperpulp, keep it dry, and bag it for sale.  you can see this is not a money making effort unless very well  accepted by the public demand.   shipping by truck is  not too bad, but again there is no profit for one's energies unless a non-profit, well funded, was to make it possible.

OR possibly a group founded thu Papercreters to help make material  available to all?

This is where   getting  funding from the current administration, or Bill Gates or the  Woz for such an endeavour could  get things rolling. Maybe have the LIP folks do the research/testing ( paid) and  produce a standard,  long term, subsidizing the pulp  to the DIYers is not good, having it be an enterprise that benefits, paying the  the workers and giving a good price to  the buyers  would be ideal.
