[papercreters] Our limited experiments w/papercrete

OK, we filled in a 10-12" retaining wall right on the ground to hold
the gravel in our barn. Through two tremendous rain storms, that and
our two experimental blocks, left purposely on the ground, have
survived very well.

Our two experimental blocks are made up of only paper, concrete and
lime. The second block, we added one cup of some kind of
polyurethene we had handy that we had treated the bottom boards in
the stalls with.

So far absolutely no difference in the way they have weathered the
storms. The block w/the polyurethene feels slightly heavier. In
spite of the soaking and flooding rains, only the bottom of the
blocks feels ever so slightly damp, but I'm not seeing any of
the "sponginess" that some here have described.

We have not yet had the opportunity to experiment w/Mike's formula
which includes the sand. We hope to.

These are the blocks the contractor spotted, immediately recognized
as papercrete, and before we could say a word, said, "These won't
work."
