I would like to re-ask a question I asked a couple of weeks ago. Does anyone have experience building an entire wall (slip form or block) and then cutting out the doors and windows? I am wondering what is done about lintels. Are they needed? Do you put something in the wall in the approximate location (slightly above) the prospective opening? I am in the planning process now and want to know how to proceed. Thanks
Sincerely, Judith

Subject: [papercreters] Post a question.
I'd like to post a reminder to everyone that you don't have to wait
around for someone else to ask a question. You can ask it yourself.
Is something confusing? Don't be shy. Ask for help.
No papercrete related question is to simple, too small, or naive
UNLESS IT GOES UNASKED.
We try to answer every question. That's never been a rule on this
group, and I don't think we need to make one because the culture of
this group doesn't need it.
Sometimes the answer is, "I don't know." hehehe.
If we don't know the answer, we usually can point someone in the
right direction to get the answers they seek.
Maybe instead of a question, you want to tell us about your little
experiment with papercrete. GO FOR IT.
There is room in this group for contractors building big fancy
houses, do-it-yourselfers using a bucket to make a backyard project,
and even for a kid trying to make a school project with papercrete.
It's all welcome.
If you see a question, jump in... post your response. Don't worry
about waiting around for one of our regulars to answer it. If you
know the answer, JUMP IN.
Oh yeah...
HAVE FUN WITH IT.
