[papercreters] was: new to NOW: Humidity -special mix needed?

With the high humidity in Houston mentioned, [ I lived there for 2
years"very-wet -pillow-on -your-face" humid in the summer!] and I know
deep in MO and the hollows of TN, and my hometown of PGH PA... high
humidity seems like it could be trouble for a PAPER based papercrete..
but what about another mix?

Using Scoria, EPS dust & tiny beads, fines, and pumice fines-- all
can be mixed with cement, and produced a block that will not host mold
easily.

What Judith Williams** did with her pumice and cement mix is proof of
that I think... and Tapas the guy in MI*** who used EPS ( expanded
polystyrene "dust" and beads-- he created the SAME no burn, non mold
blocks.. so it may be the IDEA of papercrete as being this other mix
is the right solution for some areas?

Also cement is made from limestone, but adding dry hydrated lime to
the mix after screening could also be a barrier to mold. ( adding it
to the tow tank, and draining n=may lose the value too much, I'd
screen the wet mix, add the lime 2-4% by volume, then cast blocks--
but this IS more work. possibly lime washing or dunking a dry brick
into a limewash mix can be easily done as bricks are built into the
wall.
I know I promote lime use..but in all the crazy stuff I do to my house
and studio, and shed.. I always limewash the wood, the particle board,
the blocks I use, etc... gives a leg up on preventing problems while
the mix is drying or in wet winter exposure.
